Michelle R. McLaughlin

Paralegal

Practice Areas:

Estate Planning
Business Counseling, Contracts & Succession Transactions
Private Client Services

Michelle is a Paralegal in the firm’s estate planning department, managing client communication and deliverables, organizing client asset information, and assisting in the drafting, review, and execution of client’s estate planning documents.  Michelle works directly with Nicholas Crivella, Esq., Managing Partner of the firm, for clients with complicated estate and business succession planning needs, providing support in the areas of estate/gift/generation-skipping transfer tax planning and business succession planning. Since joining Bagley & Rhody, P.C. in January of 2017, Michelle has spearheaded the streamlining of internal processes within the estate planning department to further enhance the level of service offered to our clients.

Michelle found her calling in the legal field following certain educational and professional milestones.  Having enjoyed her time as a member of the Academy of Finance in high school, she began her career working as a financial analyst intern with the Maryland Aviation Administration. Although she loved the subject matter, she found that she gravitated towards client interaction and transitioned to a legal support role where she was able to interact with clients daily. As her career path evolved, she found her passion for helping families through the Estate Planning and Estate Administration process.

Michelle is a member of the American Bar Association and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Michelle especially enjoys meeting with people and helping them navigate complex systems, both in her role as Paralegal and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Anne Arundel County foster care.

In her free time, she enjoys tackling home renovations, reading, and traveling with her family. She resides in the Severna Park area with her husband, four children, and two dogs.
