While in law school, Matthew clerked at the Orphans’ Court for Baltimore County and in June 2003 joined Bagley & Rhody, P.C. as a law clerk. Upon admission to the bar in December 2004, Matthew became an associate with Bagley & Rhody, P.C. and in January 2014, a partner/shareholder of the firm.
Matthew heads the firm’s litigation and estate/trust administration practice areas. Matthew routinely appears before the Orphans’ Courts and Circuit Courts throughout the State of Maryland in matters such as will and trust contests, trustee/personal representative removal actions, inter vivos actions such as deed nullification, accounting actions, abuse of power of attorney, and breach of fiduciary duty matters. He has also appeared before the Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals on numerous occasions. He has presented numerous presentations and seminars over the years for other attorneys and members of the judiciary at MSBA (formerly MICPEL) seminars, local bar association events, and at the Judicial Institute of Maryland in the areas of estates and trusts, and related litigation.
