Our Mission
Bagley & Rhody is a boutique law firm focusing on estates, trusts, and business-related matters. Our firm is built on the fundamental principle of family first. We help individuals, families, and businesses in Anne Arundel County, and throughout the State of Maryland, with all facets of estates and trusts matters, from estate planning, administration, and litigation, as well as business related matters.
Our History

1986 | Founded
Charles Bagley, IV (Charlie) and John P. Rhody, Jr. (John) officially opened the firm as Bagley & Rhody, PC. joined by their paralegal/office manager, Nancy Whiteley.

2003 | New Associate
Matthew S. Ballard joined the firm as a law clerk, becoming an associate in December 2004.

2009 | New Associate
Nicholas P. Crivella joined the firm as an associate.

2014 | New Ownership
Following the passing of John Rhody in 2010 after a hard-fought battle with cancer, Matt and Nick joined Charlie as stockholders to the firm.

2015 - 2019 | Expansion
Between 2015 and 2019, four associates, Jon F. Watson, Alicia M. Balanesi, Brittney A. Grizzanti, and Victoria L. Lucido, and three paralegals, Jennifer Urlock, Michelle McLaughlin, and Kara Szabo, joined the firm.

2019 | Transitioning Roles
As Charlie began to scale back his practice, Nick was named as Managing Partner of the firm.

2020 | Continued Transition
Charlie, the firm’s founder and former managing partner, transitioned to an Of Counsel role.

2020 | New Space
1788 Forest Drive, which the firm will move into by March/April 2020.
Our Location
With the continued growth of the firm over the past 10 years and the need for additional space, our new stand-alone property located in Annapolis, MD is symbolic of our commitment to our clients and the community. The quality of the building matches the quality of our firm and is a true testament to the dedication and hard work we put into each and every one of our clients.
