While in law school, Matt clerked at the Orphans’ Court for Baltimore County and, in June 2003, joined Bagley & Rhody, P.C. as a law clerk.  Upon admission to the bar in December 2004, Matt became an associate with Bagley & Rhody, P.C., and in January 2014, a partner/shareholder of the firm.

Matt heads the firm’s litigation and estate/trust administration practice areas.  Matt routinely appears before the Orphans’ Courts and Circuit Courts throughout the State of Maryland in matters such as will and trust contests, trustee/personal representative removal actions, inter vivos actions such as deed nullification, accounting actions, abuse of power of attorney, and breach of fiduciary duty matters.  He has also appeared before the Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals on numerous occasions.  He has presented numerous presentations and seminars over the years for other attorneys and members of the judiciary at MSBA (formerly MICPEL) seminars, local bar association events, and at the Judicial Institute of Maryland in the areas of estates and trusts, and related litigation.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
